The Best Phones For Seniors

When I got my first cell phone many years ago, I had no clue how to use it. At one point I was so frustrated with it that I told my husband to sell it to someone who understood modern technology. My teenage son stepped in to save the day and patiently taught me how to use all the bells and whistles that came with my smart phone. I wondered if elderly people shared my struggle with cell phone usage, and hoped that there was an easier solution to the problem for those who were as tech challenged as I was.  As it turns out, there IS a solution.

Today on the blog, my guest Will Bail is here to share his advice on the best cell phones for seniors. Please welcome him to my site with lots of comment love!

On top of this simple feature set, the best phones for the senior market should be easy to operate and see.

  2. I am proud of my 83 year old mother who was also overwhelmed with her iPhone but like your son, I helped her through the challenge and now she's amazing. She even knows how to Facebook and Instagram off her phone as well as know all the bells and whistles. It just goes to show you're never too old to learn.

  3. Very timely. My husband has had it with his smart phone and doesn't want to update to a newer model. The whining is fierce! But then he likes to google something...... I think one of the stripped down models will suit him.

  4. When I first got my parents on to smartphones my dad knew where we were headed. He said, "I WANT THE SAME THING I HAVE, I DON'T NEED ALL THAT OTHER STUFF." I said, "Ok daddy. Fully intending to come back with a smartphone." Mom went with the iphone because that's what I had and we got daddy an Android phone. Eight-ish later he all Mr. Technology with his tablet, phone etc. He thanks me for keeping him the loop. These days my son is teaching me how to use instagram and I'm feeling the need to graduate to something with big buttons.
